Benevolence – Fine Art Print

Limited Edition Fine Art Print
Bolivia, 2017
Aspect Ratio: 2:1 (Panoramic)

Fine Art Prints are a more affordable way for you to enjoy my art. They are Giclée prints (pronounced zhee-clay), a printing process that uses pigment-based inks used for fine art printing. The paper they are printed on is metallic acid-free paper, which is considered archival quality. The artwork will be mailed to you in a shipping tube, where you can take it to a framer to have it framed. I recommend anti-reflective glass for you to get the most enjoyment out of your art.
Adventures in Bolivian Salt Flats
Each image has a story of its own. I spent four days in the Salar de Uyuni (a vast salt flat located in Bolivia). The first day was spent driving deep into the salt flats. My clothes immediately became covered with salt, my tripod bravely withstood the salinity of the environment. A rain storm approached, and I took the opportunity as a blessing, as rainy weather often creates more interesting images than perfect sunny days.
I loved being in the Salar de Uyuni, it was quiet and unlike any other place on earth. During the day, the colours were surreal and dreamlike. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been, and I worked hard and maintained focus to capture the beauty of this place.
When I look at this image, it appears soft, and kind. This is the way of the Earth. She gives, and gives and gives, and keeps on giving, as that is her nature. I treasure Mother Earth, and her great generosity in the beauty that she provides. Beauty is not just a superficial need. Appreciation of the great beauty found in nature can fill us up, can fill a need in our spirits and hearts in a way that no other sustenance can.
I always consider the rosy sky at sunset and sunrise a reminder of God’s love, as rose is the colour of love. It’s hard not to feel that way when beholding a scene like this.
